CAMERA OBSCURA INSTALLATIONS

Camera Obscura is a naturally formed light projection using a convex lens or pinhole in a dark space.  Artist Kenny Bean creates camera obscura installations for festivals and events designed in specific spaces.  Recent obscuras have been created inside caravans and beach huts. Using mirrors inside the camera obscuras can change the natural upside-down image to appear upright when projected onto the ceiling. Installations can be created inside existing buildings, sheds or black tents. They can also be made inside a large outdoor room constructed especially for a festival or event.
